FAQ

How do I get from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol to Amsterdam city centre?

Common options from AMS are a pre-booked private transfer, a taxi from the official rank, ride-hailing where it's legal, rental cars, and public transport where available. A pre-booked transfer gives you a fixed price and a driver waiting in arrivals, which helps late at night or with heavy bags.

Should I pre-book a transfer from AMS?

Pre-booking makes sense if you land late, travel with children or lots of luggage, or want a fixed price in Euros agreed in advance. Compare Kiwitaxi, Welcome Pickups and GetTransfer above.

Where can I store luggage in Amsterdam?

Radical Storage lists partner shops and hotels across Amsterdam where you can leave bags by the hour or day; see live locations and opening hours via the link above.

What should I sort out before landing at AMS?

Get mobile data ready (an eSIM for Netherlands works the moment you land), check the EUR exchange rate so you know what a fair taxi fare looks like, and save your transfer confirmation offline.
